Membership
Our Membership
Membership in PPNO is open to any health care organization, regulatory college or professional association in Ontario.
Our membership is diverse, and is comprised of administrators, and point of care practitioners all sharing an interest and accountability for professional practice and advancement in their organization.
PPNO has created informal and formal linkages with key health care leaders and leadership forums involved in promoting professional practice excellence in Ontario.
Becoming a Member
Membership is limited to one individual per organization, as the primary contact and voting member. Each member is permitted to invite up to four guests to each of the scheduled meetings, so broad spectrum representation and perspectives are fostered.
PPNO also allows an individual to become a member of the network following payment of the set fees, this is ideal for those involved in Professional Practice Consulting work or those who have a strong passion for professional practice but are no longer directly practicing in the professional practice area. Additionally, any organization can add an additional member for a nominal fee in order for that individual to gain access to the electronic distribution list of the PPNO. The organization however will only have one vote at any PPNO meeting.
Membership benefits includes the following:
- Attendance of all PPNO meetings (including refreshments and lunch)
- Access to the PPNO electronic distribution list.
- PPNO Newsletter (distributed quarterly)
- Access to the members only section of our website.
- Opportunity to network with professional practice colleagues across Ontario.
- Access to quarterly literature search summaries.
Membership Fees
PPNO membership is paid yearly with invoicing following the June AGM. Current membership fees are set at $200 per year. Organizations may also join part way through a year if they choose.
Individual memberships are available for the same fee of $200 per year and additional members per organization for access to the electronic distribution list pay a $25 dollar fee per year.
Attending our Meetings
The PPNO meets quarterly (usually the first Monday of the month) in September, December, March and concludes with the Annual General Meeting in June.
Meeting themes are used to allow for discussion of timely and relevant issues for professional practice leaders across the province.
Meetings are hosted by various PPNO member organizations with every attempt made to hold meetings in a variety of geographic locations within Ontario.
Networking and information sharing between meetings is facilitated through the use of an electronic ListServe where PPNO members may post questions to and receive replies from their colleagues across the province on professional practice questions, practices, policies and leadership issues.
